NEW ONLINE STRATEGIES

During my time as the Digital Video Developer for Thinking Space Systems, I completely overhauled their online video presence.

I embraced the new, 'interactive' aspect of online video and tailor-made a whole inter-connected network of YouTube videos for their customers. I planned, directed, shot and edited different types of videos - promotions, instructional, case studies, animations, and more personal company insights - all with interactive buttons that invite the viewer to "Watch more". This always brings the customer back to the company's products.

My brief was to 'sell the products through video'. The several thousand video views and new customers for the business show that I achieved this.

'This Week At Fixers'

In 2017, 16-25 year olds are watching more online video than ever before. Seeing an opportunity to engage our online audience, I created 'This Week At Fixers.'

'TWAF' is a vlog-style weekly YouTube show that gives insights into the busy company, Fixers. Using regular features, inside jokes and a new colleague presenting each week, Twaf brings a personality and sense of community to the Fixers YouTube channel. Also, the first item of each episode is a clip recorded by the young people themselves, increasing engagement even more.

Now, Twaf is so well received by the Fixers audience that the young people are actually requesting to contribute their own clips. That's an indication of my creation's success, and further proof that I can use new media to generate engagement.
